My name is Odd Roar Olsen, born and raised in Ballstad, a small fishing village in Northern Norway. On this small Lofoten island, 200 kilometers above the Arctic Circle, Ballstad, home to about 1,000 people, has been the center of fishing and people's livelihood for thousands of years.

Life on an island in northern Norway

Growing up in a place where everything has to be earned through hard work and perseverance is a great opportunity for me. This instilled in me the belief that the path to success lies through self-sacrifice and merit. This upbringing gave rise to the core belief that perseverance and determination bring positive results in life.
